Monroe And Main - Returned their product and they refused to refund the shipping and handling cost.
The booties I purchased from Monroe and Main were already over priced. They had increased the price by $10.00 from the last time I purchased them. The boots started peeling all over so I decided to purchased them again. They charged me $59.99 PLUS $13.99 shipping and handling! I returned them because they didn't fit. When I called customer service to confirm the refund amount I was told they were refunding thefull amount I paid including the shipping and handling. But when I later checked my account they didn't refund me the shipping and handling cost. That's a rip off! If customers return a product to a company they're supposed to be refunded the full amount they paid, including shipping and handing. When I called Customer Service the representative rudely told me that customers pay shipping and handling costs on both ends...to have items sent to them and returned to Monroe and Main. So regardless, their company makes money off of their customers that purchase or return their products. Distasteful under-handed practice. I

I placed an order earlier on the day. Received an email notification of my order being shipped where I saw a picture of blouse I didn’t order. I immediately contacted the company and they were unwilling to make it right and wouldn’t compensate me for the error. Never even apologized for the error. Worst customer service experience I can recall in recent memory

Absolutely absurd!!! I ordered a swimsuit, apparently it didnt come with the bottom and i was fit to be tied that just the top cost $69.99. So i sent it back the very next day, of course, using their return label. Now a month later i get a bill for $22.57. What!?! So calling on the bill, I'm told that was for a processing fee, the cost using the return label, and a finance charge! Rediculous!! I have nothing to show for, yet they can still bill me a finance charge for a bill i knew absolutely nothing about!!! I urge nobody to ever buy from this 
company as they will try to squeeze anything out of nothing!! I did not see any of this in any of the fine print. Well, when the saying goes"the consumer is always right"...NEVER believe it in the case with Monroe and Main!!!! Complete scam!!!

These people drive you crazy with mailings telling you to use your available credit for years on end. So you place an order but they don't ship it....Then send a letter three weeks later that if you want your order you need to send a down payment and it's the whole amount of the order. I don't call that a down payment. Why waste all those catalogs and letters for some bull ***?

Monroe And Main - The worst Rip-off on shipping of Returns
The quality was not worth the high prices. I returned the items due to quality and fit. They charged me $50 for shipping fees. I inquired to customer service and they took off $7.95 and said I would be responsible for the rest. I'm willing to pay the shipping fee of $7.95 but the added fees are ridiculous. The original order was with free shipping. They don't take on any responsibility for being an on-line store. So, I didn't see any statement saying it's free shipping unless it doesn't fit. Of course, you should expect that the sizes are not always going to fit. They won't be getting any more of my business. Sabrina

Monroe And Main - Substandard clothing returned and still got charged.
I ordered a suit for a job interview. It arrived and I opened it with a week of arrival to try it on. It was ridiculously short compared to other clothing store vendors I've bought from before. It was also VERY low quality material. I was very disappointed and sent it back right away. In the process of moving they said they sent a bill for shipping, but I never got it. I called to give them the reasons for my return and was told there was 'nothing [they] could do' regarding the shipping charge and had added late charges and fees on top of that. I ended up paying the *** bags $47.50 for NOTHING. And the customer service guy had a great big attitude for being so rude to a customer. If they ever contact me again, send a catalog, a bill, or (God forbid) call, I will contact an attorney to sue them for harassment. They've been warned and I have an attorney on retainer already. DO NOT BUY FOR THEM. Their quality sucks and their customer service is even worse, believe it or not. I will NEVER deal with them again and caution anyone else to reconsider and buy somewhere else!!!!!

Monroe And Main - I don't know where to begin.....
I decided to glance at the catalog and I noticed a tunic I thought was pretty cute, so Iordered it. Delivery took quite awhile, but I have no compalints with that. Finally received and it was of poor quality and two sizes too big. Still ok, I just returned it(which of coarse I had to pay for). A few weeks later, I recieved A PURSE(????). I called customer service and he apologized, and sent me a return sticker so I did not have to pay for return postage..or so I thought. Two statement later (or is it three?) the statement finally shows the credit, but it also has a balnce of 23.00(which includes a late payment fee and interest, on what?..postage). I possessed their merchandise for about 1 day(tunic) and about 1 week(the purse) bcuz I was waiting for Customer service to send the so-called "free" returned postage sticker. They already charged me shipping and handling on my initial purchase, and now they want to charge me a late fee because they sent me merchandise I never purchased and it took them months to resolve? I gave Cust Serv a return tracking number and she said it wasn't enough numbers....what was I suppose to do, make one up..this is the number(I still have it)they gave me....I will not pay for this..not even if it is 5.00.
